Medicare Advantage

Medicare Advantage, also called Medicare Part C, is a type of health plan offered by private insurance companies that have been approved by Medicare. It provides all the coverage of Original Medicare (Parts A and B), which includes hospital stays and doctor visits, but often with extra benefits like prescription drugs, dental care, vision, and hearing services. These plans usually have networks of doctors and hospitals you can use to get care at lower costs. While you might have more benefits and lower out-of-pocket expenses with a Medicare Advantage plan, you may need to see doctors within the plan’s network. Essentially, it’s a way to get your Medicare benefits plus additional services all in one plan.
